  1. Information and Promotion Tempus
    • Holding Mini Tempus Days at each University at different sites, by geographical distribution, and by category of institution
      These Mini TEMPUS days would include the promotion and dissemination of information on other European Commission initiatives in Higher Education (ERASMUS MUNDUS, Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window, etc.). National TEMPUS Day (gathering all actors of the Higher Education and EC in Egypt). During the day, a FAIR will be organized for running projects in Egypt. Also the dissemination of information about different EC initiatives in Higher Educationis will be presented.
    • Distribution of TEMPUS Promotion Materials and Guide for applicants to various Universities in Egypt
    • Organization of a series of seminars / workshops on issues related to Higher Education Development and mechanisms of the Bologna Process, while using those opportunities to promote TEMPUS and EU Higher Education as examples of best practices
    • Hold assistance / advisory /brain storming sessions to inform and assist potential applicants throughout the application process
      Assist in the search for and contacts with partners
      Support and advice on modifications for rejected applicants
  2. Consultation - coordination – Selection
    • Identification of potential Egyptian Experts/ Evaluators
    • Preparation and updating of briefing documents on Egyptian Higher Education System and reform strategy
      Report to the Commission on Egyptian Higher Education Reform Projects and on implementation of the on-going Higher Education Projects financed by other sources
    • Assessment of the National Context for project Proposals in cooperation with Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education
    • Support to the EC for the definition of regional and national priorities
      Provide comments on applications circulated by the EC and assessing its priorities to Egypt
    • Maintain regular contacts with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and other authorities as well as the EC Delegation or other donors to ensure an exchange of information on developments in the field of higher education and on relevant projects.
    • Holding regular meetings with Cultural attaché in European Commission embassies in Cairo in order to update the procedure for Visa obtention for Tempus project's beneficiaries
    • Advice and Support to ongoing Project Coordinators, Assistance in implementation of Dessimination strategy for each project by organizing regular meetings with project coordinators / representatives
    • Advise Beneficiaries in relation to practical measures (visa, taxes, purchase/importing equipment, contact with local authorities) . * Advise Beneficiaries on reporting and monitoring under TEMPUS
    • Training of Projects' Coordinators and Financial/Administrative Staff on TEMPUS projects' Management/Reporting/Financial matters
    • Participation in the Kick off meeting (launching) of new projects.
    • Hold information and training sessions on how to write a TEMPUS application form
  3. Monitoring of projects
    • Developing a methodology for measuring the impact of TEMPUS projects on Egyptian Higher Education System.
  4. Support to Team of Reform Experts
    • Dissemination of Bologna process objectives and implementation mechanism to relevant Higher Education Authorities in Egypt (incl. HE Reform Experts)
    • Extensive training on Bologna / Lisbon Processes and their objectives and implementations mechanisms.
    • Promotion of the Bologna / Lisbon processes to Egyptian Higher Education Stakeholders (Seminars, Workshops, etc
    • Reporting on the status que and advancments of harmonization/ compatibility of Bologna Process in the Egyptian Higher Education System
    • A regional Workshop on Bologna Process, gathering different experts from Eastern Mediterranean countries and supported by UNICA (Experts
    • Participation of selected HERE experts from Egypt in Bologna related conferences / events in Europe
